Leadout launches at Barclays Eagle Labs

Founders, experts, teams and investors in one room for panels and live startup pitches. This is how we launched.

The Leadout Innovation and Barclays Eagle Labs launch event, ready to start

We launched Leadout Innovation with Barclays Eagle Labs, and we built the evening around the thing we exist to do: putting the people building the future of sport and health in the same room as the people ready to build with them.

The room

Founders, sport and health specialists, people from teams and organisations, and investors filled the room. That mix is the point. A startup is only useful once it reaches someone who can test it, adopt it or back it, and most of that happens through conversations that never get started on a website.

Two panels

Two panels opened the programme, bringing together founders, specialists and operators from across sport and health tech. They set the tone for the night: practical, open, and focused on what it takes to turn a new idea into something a team or organisation will actually use.

Live pitches

Then the startups took the stage. Each one pitched live to the room: what they are building, who it is for and why now. Pitching in front of the people who could become their first partners, customers or investors is exactly the moment we want to create for the startups we back.

What comes next

Events like this sit alongside our hackathons, pitch days and accelerator programs. Together they are how we find, validate and accelerate the startups building the future of sport and health, and connect them to the teams, brands and investors who are ready to build with them.

This was the first of many. More is on the way, and we will share it here.
